To Never Give Up Again

She was all set to move ahead

Ready to start afresh in life

Colourful hues of sparkling hope

Were all she saw and what she wanted

Then how did she start to ask herself

Should I give up or not?

Life shut her down and took away her soul

She could barely feel or hardly dream

Numb and distressed

She doubted her faith

That’s when she asked herself

Should I give up or not?

Slowly it dawned, she was draining away

Forgetting herself,replacing her  dreams

Putting herself deep in misery

To be taken eternally for granted

That’s when  she told herself

To never give up again.

She made up her mind

To be the best she could

To listen to her inner voice

And never let go of her happy self

So then she told herself

To never give up again.
